Abercrombie Literacy partners with schools and districts to evaluate, refine, and integrate literacy curriculum and instructional products in alignment with the Science of Reading. Whether strengthening existing materials or supporting the implementation of newly adopted programs, we conduct comprehensive audits and data-driven analyses to identify strengths, gaps, and clear next steps. Our goal is to ensure curriculum, resources, and instruction are cohesive, evidence-based, and vertically aligned across grade levels.

Our team provides coaching and professional learning focused on embedding assessment practices within core and supplemental curricula. We support educators in interpreting screening and progress-monitoring data, translating results into instructional decisions, forming strategic student groups, and differentiating instruction within adopted programs to meet diverse literacy needs.

We collaborate with early childhood educators and intervention teams to design and integrate effective multi-tiered systems of support that work in tandem with existing curricula and intervention products. Our frameworks ensure every student—especially those at risk for reading difficulties—receives timely, targeted instruction grounded in research-based practices and connected to daily classroom learning.

To sustain long-term success, we build internal capacity by equipping literacy coaches and facilitators to lead Science of Reading implementation within the context of their district’s chosen curriculum and instructional resources. Training emphasizes adult learning theory, data-informed decision-making, and structured coaching cycles that strengthen implementation and support continuous instructional growth.
